Obituary for Pastor Royce L. Miller

On Tuesday, February 20, 2018 our beloved brother and servant, Pastor Royce L. Miller, heard the eternal summons from our Sovereign Lord and fell asleep. He was born on January 29, 1936 in Hayes, Kansas the son of Harry and Leona Miller.
Pastor Miller was an U. S. Air Force veteran who was honorably discharged December 1958. During his time in the military he was stationed at Shiroi Air Base, Japan where he was part of the 6020th Air Base Squadron, PACAF.
Pastor Miller graduated high school and went on to earn his Doctorate in Law and Theology.
Pastor Miller surrendered his life to Christ at an early age. As he grew in Christ he served as a Deacon and sang in the Male Chorus.
He began his pastoral ministry at the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where he was still serving at the time of his passing.
The final chapter in the Book of Life for Pastor Royce L. Miller has been completed. He made his final voyage through life’s troubled water to the shores of eternity. A gospel preacher for over forty-four years, he gave of himself, his substance, and his life to the church he served and the God he loved. He leaves to rejoice in his memory a loving wife, Kiyoko Miller of the home; sons, Bobby Wilkerson and Paul Miller; daughters, Denise Miller, Christine Miller and Stephanie Miller; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends and the members of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Servant of God, Well Done!
Rest from thy loved employ,
The battle fought, the victory won,
Enter thy Master’s joy.
The pain of death are past,
Labor and sorrow cease,
The life’s long warfare closed at last,
Thy soul is found in peace.
