Obituary for TyJuan Maurice Campbell aka Leroy Maurice Brunk Jr.

Leroy Maurice Brunk Jr., 21, passed away suddenly and tragically on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Parsons, Kansas.
Leroy was born on Wednesday, April 16, 1997 in Topeka, Kansas to Margaret Jaramillo and Leroy Maurice Brunk Sr. Leroy’s name was legally changed to TyJuan Maurice Campbell as a child. He enjoyed life and was affectionately known to all as “Lil Moe” named after his father “Big Moe.”
Lil Moe as a young man, worked hard to overcome a lot of life’s obstacles. He learned to enjoy life. He had a heart of gold and would always help anyone he could. He had a smile that would light up a room. He was outgoing but protective of those he loved. His Dad said, “Lil Moe was goofy as hell!”
Lil Moe attended Highland Park High School and was active in sports where he played basketball and was on the wrestling team. While in high school he would be late to the same class every day because he wanted to make sure a student in a wheel chair would make it up the ramp safely. He did this every day! After high school he worked various jobs as a general laborer.
Lil Moe was a video game fanatic and played “Call of Duty” all the time. When he wasn’t playing video games he was spending him with family.
Lil Moe strived to be a great father who loved and cherished his two daughters whom he was a part of daily. Lil Moe’s bond with his father “Big Moe” will have memories that will be cherished forever. That bond cannot be broken. It not only was flesh and blood which made them father and son it was also the heart. For a short time, he lived with father in Texas, there they attended Beth Eden Baptist Church.
Lil Moe was also close to his mother and was always there when she went through life’s ups and downs or whenever she needed him.
Lil Moe had many friends and family members who loved him, and who continue to cherish the time and memories they shared with him. He is survived by his significant other, Kristina Fort and their two daughters, Hannah and Ava. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Lowe-Jaramillo of Topeka, Kansas; father, Leroy M. Brunk Sr. of Ft. Worth, TX; stepfather, Deon Campbell of Pittsburg, Kansas; his siblings, Xavier (Sami) Barksdale Sr. of Topeka, Robert Barksdale Jr. of Topeka, Mykol Barksdale of Topeka, Diara Brown of Wichita, and Karen Campbell of Olathe; grandparents, Mary Jaramillo of Topeka, Elizabeth K. Brunk Hendricks and Bobby D. Hendricks of Michigan and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
